Al Flemming
Dreams and aspirations were the only emancipating outlet for me while enduring an abusive childhood. Through adolescence I set my sights high as I purposefully transferred to a quality high school my junior year, concentrated on academics, music and after-school activities, and I sought out supportive role models. ADHD was a constant distraction for me as I fought hard to focus on both my personal and academic lives. After high school I earned college credits toward a music degree, but over time I recognized my need for structure and a fresh start. Later in life I enlisted in the Unites States Air Force and learned integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all I do. After an honorable discharge, my time served in the military helped to finance my second successful attempt at gaining a college education. I earned a BFA in Visual Communications with a minor in Business Administration.
Today, along with my partner, I am raising two sons with the challenge of both boys having been diagnosed ADD/ADHD and the youngest with bipolar disorder. Despite this seemingly uphill battle, not only have I become a certified life coach, I am also fulfilling my lifelong dreams and aspirations as a spouse, a father, an artist and a vocalist.
